Pound Slides On Disappointing U.K Industrial Output

The weakened pound for the first time in three days against the euro as a report showed UK industrial production rose less than expected in March to analysts, adding to signs that the economy of Britain suffers as he heads towards a referendum on its accession to the European Union.

Sterling fell against most of its 16 major peers on Wednesday that the figures from the National Statistics Office showed output rose 0.3 percent, less than the 0.5 percent gain expected in a Bloomberg survey of economists. The factories have increased production by 0.1 percent, also less than expected.

Even after a rebound in the past month, the book is still the worst performer this year among the Group-of-10 currencies of nations, weighed down by weak economic data and concern as possible out of the UK from the trade bloc will further derail the investment. Reports last week showed manufacturing, construction and services industries all trailed economists' forecasts.

The book weakened 0.3 percent to 78.99 pence per euro from 9:55 in London, after strengthening 0.4 percent in the previous two days. Sterling fell 0.2 percent to $ 1.4418.
